The Easter season is a pretty big deal in the Catholic Church. We recognize and celebrate that Jesus has Risen (alleluia). We move away from the penitential nature of Lent and celebrate for SEVEN weeks! Here at All Saints, we like to kick off our Easter Celebration with a free Community Easter Dinner.
The Annual Easter dinner starts right after Mass on Easter Sunday in the Parish Hall. We serve a delicious, homemade Ham dinner with all the fix in’s, potatoes, vegetables, and rolls. Homemade desserts are also available, so you can indulge in the sweets you gave up for Lent.
Easter should be a time for us to all come together as a Community, Parish, and Family. This meal is open to anyone and everyone, not just those in need, or those who are members of our Parish. If you cannot make it to the Parish Hall on Easter to join us, we offer home deliveries so you don’t miss out. Everybody should have the opportunity for a home cooked meal on Easter.
Offering a completely free Easter Dinner to our Parish and Community gives us a great opportunity to serve God and our Community. It takes a lot of work. We are always looking for more volunteers to help us meet our needs. We need volunteers to help set up before the event, and to help clean up and tear down after, to serve food, to reach out to our guests and make conversation, to run deliveries, and to bake homemade desserts. There’s a job for everyone, so don’t hesitate to volunteer your unique talents!
